JIHAD SECTION · 6 – The Prohibition of Traveling for the Purpose of Worship
Abu Umama (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, grant me permission for travel.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said, "The journeying (seyyahlik) of my community is jihad in the path of Allah."
EXPLANATION
Here, the journey refers to leaving one's family and traveling from region to region.
