Saḥl bin Muāz al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated from his father, who narrated:

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever recites the Qur’an and acts by its contents, then his parents will be clothed on the Day of Resurrection with a crown of light. Its radiance is more beautiful than the light of the sun in this world. So what do you think will be given to one who acts according to the Qur'an? Reflect upon it.”

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) related:

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: "Indeed, the one who is familiar with the Qur'an and recites it, is accompanied by generous and obedient angels on a journey (like that of those going for jihad). And indeed, the one who is not familiar with the Qur’an and its recitation is difficult for him, he receives two rewards."

Abū Hurayra, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “When a group gathers in one of the mosques to recite the Book of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, and teach it amongst themselves, tranquility descends upon them. Mercy encompasses them. Angels surround them, and Allah mentions those individuals among the angels who are close to Him.”

Ukba ibn Amir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:

While we were at a meal, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us. He said: “Which among you would like that every morning he went until Buthan or Akik and returned without committing an act which Allah has forbidden, neglecting the ties of kinship, and brought two camels with white-tinged coats?” The Companions said: "We all desire that, O Messenger of Allah."

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “It is better for one of you to go to the mosque every day and recite two verses from the Magnificent Book of Allah than that; it is more beneficial than those two camels. If he recites three verses, it is more beneficial than three camels, and so on, in proportion to the number of verses he recites.”
