MARRIAGE SECTION · 41 – A HUSBAND'S RIGHTS OVER HIS WIFE

Kays ibn Sa'id, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated:
I arrived at Hira and saw that they were prostrating to their leader. I said to myself, ‘The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, is more deserving of being prostrated to.’ So I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, “O Messenger of Allah! I have arrived at Hira and saw that they were prostrating to their leader. O Messenger of Allah! You are more deserving than anyone else for us to prostrate to you.”
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asked, "Do you believe in this?" Then he said, “Would you visit my grave and prostrate to it?”
I replied, “No.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then said: “If I were to command anyone to prostrate to another, I would have commanded women to prostrate to their husbands for the right Allah has given men over women.” [138]
