JIHAD SECTION · 141 – The Ruling on a Mujahid Benefiting from Undisclosed Booty
Ruwayfi bin Sabit al-Ansaari – may Allah be pleased with him – narrated:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Let no one who believes in Allah and the Last Day ride an animal until he weakens it, then leaves it behind among the spoils. And let no one who believes in Allah and the Last Day wear a garment from the (undistributed) spoils of the Muslims until it is worn out, then leaves it behind among the spoils."
