JIHAD SECTION · 83 – The Undesirability of Traveling at the Beginning of the Night
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: "Do not leave your animals out after sunset until the darkness of night has dispersed. For when the sun sets, the devils spread corruption on the earth until the darkness of night is gone."
Abu Dawud said: *Fawashi* means anything that is scattered upon the earth. [419]
EXPLANATION
*Fawashi*: It refers to animals left loose and unattended on the earth.
*Ta’asu*: It means to spread corruption and disorder.
