Divorce Section · 49 – The Status of a Woman Divorced by Three Talaqs
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated:
It was asked of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) about a man who divorces his wife three times, and the woman then marries another man and remains with him, then he divorces her without consummation. Is she lawful to her first husband?
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said, “The woman is not lawful to the former husband until she tastes the honeycomb of the latter and he tastes the honeycomb of her.”
