THE CHAPTER OF CORPSES · 13 – THE DEFORMITY OF WISHING FOR DEATH
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “Let none of you say, ‘O God, I wish for death because of a harm,’ but rather let him say, ‘O God, if life is good for me, then keep me alive; and if death is better for me, then take my soul.’”
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “None of you should wish for death.” The narrator then recited a statement similar to the preceding hadith.
