SECTION 1 – THREATS REGARDING FALSE OATHS
Imran ibn Husayn, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever swears falsely in a matter that necessitates imprisonment, let him prepare a place on his face in the Fire.”
COMMENTARY:
It is stated that whoever swears falsely regarding a matter that will lead to imprisonment due to legal judgment, violating another’s right and taking Allah as witness to his falsehood, should prepare a place for himself in the Fire.
The term *masbut* refers to one who is subjected to imprisonment as a consequence of a legal ruling.
