FASTING CHAPTER · 79 – A person in seclusion being able to enter their home for their needs

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) would lean his head towards me during the time he was in retreat (itikaf), and I would comb it with oils. He would not enter [the area of retreat] for any other need than that which is natural to human beings. [344]

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: A similar narration was reported, resembling the preceding hadith.

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) related:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) was in i'tikaf in the mosque, extending his head from the openness of the room towards me, and I would wash it.
In a transmitted version, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I used to comb his hair while I was menstruating."

Safiyya, may Allah be pleased with her, related:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was in retreat (itikaf). I came to visit him one night. We spoke, and then I rose to return home. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, also rose with me (Safiyya’s house was at Usama ibn Zayd's house). Two men from the Ansar encountered us. When they saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, they hurried. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Walk slowly, for the woman beside me is Safiyya bint Huyayy.”
They said, "We glorify Allah [regarding you, O Messenger of Allah – implying that we would never suspect ill].“
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Indeed, Satan flows through the veins as blood does. I feared that he might throw something or some evil into your hearts.”

Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā ibn Fāris, from Abū al-Yaman, from Abū al-Yaman, narrated the preceding report via the same chain of narration.
Differently, it was narrated through chains of narration from Zūhrī, and Safiyyah, may Allah be pleased with her, said: “When I arrived near the mosque beside Ummu Salama’s door, I encountered two men,” and then she related the report.
