JIHAD SECTION · 170 – UTTERING "ALLAHU AKBAR" ON EVERY HILL ENCOUNTERED DURING TRAVEL
Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) would, when returning from a campaign or from Hajj or Umrah, pronounce Takbir three times over every high place of the earth. And he would say: “There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, He has no partner. His is the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise. He is powerful over all things. We return as repentants, worshippers, prostrators, and those who give thanks to our Lord. Allah is true to His promise. He aided His servant and routed armies united against him.”
