JIHAD SECTION · 35 – FIGHTING UNDER THE COMMAND OF A TYRANNICAL RULER
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “Three things are part of the foundation of faith. Firstly, refraining from extending a hand or tongue to one who says ‘There is no god but Allah,’ not considering him a disbeliever because of his sin, and not excluding him from Islam due to his actions. Secondly, striving (in the way of Allah): it will continue until the appearance of the Dajjal, from the moment Allah appointed me as a prophet, and neither the oppression of the unjust nor the justice of the righteous will abolish it. Thirdly, belief in predestination.”
Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Obligatory upon you is jihad with every command, whether good or bad. Obligatory upon every Muslim is to pray behind every other Muslim, even if he has committed a great sin. And obligatory upon every Muslim is to perform the funeral prayer, even if he has committed a great sin.”
