2552 – It is narrated from ʿUbbād ibn Tamīm, who was informed by Abū Bashīr al-Anṣārī (may Allah be pleased with him). He was with the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey. The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a messenger. ʿAbdullāh ibn Abī Bakr says: I think that ʿUbāda ibn Tamīm said: The people were at a place where they would spend the night. “There shall not remain any arrow hanging from the neck of any camel; all the neck straps and beads must certainly be cut.” Mālik says: I believe that these arrows were hung on the necks of the camels because of the evil eye.
