SECTION OF CORPSES · 3 – VISITING SICK WOMEN
Umm al-Ala (may Allah be pleased with her) related: “I fell ill, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) visited me and said: ‘O Umm al-Ala, good news! Indeed, when a Muslim is afflicted by illness, Allah removes his sins through it, as gold and silver are purified by fire.’”
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated:
I said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him): “O Messenger of Allah, I know the most severe verse in the Book of Allah.”
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: "Which verse is that, O Aisha?"
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "It is the verse: 'Whoever does an evil deed will receive the recompense for it.'" (An-Nisa 4:123)
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “O Aisha, do you not know? Indeed, every calamity that befalls a believer, or a thorn that pricks his foot, expiates for an ugly deed. But whoever is questioned [by Allah], he will suffer punishment.”
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Does not Almighty Allah say: 'Then there will be an easy reckoning.'" (Al-Inshiqaq 84:8)
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “That is the presentation [of deeds], O Aisha. Whoever’s account is disputed, he will suffer punishment.” [34]
EXPLANATION
Presentation (Arz): It is the time when deeds are presented to Allah in the Hereafter. At that time, the reckoning may be easy.
