THE CHAPTER OF THE DEAD · 83 – WHAT SHOULD BE SAID WHEN VISITING A CEMETERY OR PASSING THROUGH IT?

Abū Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went to the cemetery and said, “Peace be upon the residents of the dwellings of the believers; indeed, We hope, if Allah wills, to join you.”
[Note:] The deceased have a right similar to that of the living. Greetings are offered to them just as they are offered to the living.
