Usāmah ibn Sharīk, may Allāh be pleased with him, narrated:
I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions were as if birds were perched upon their heads (in a state of silence). I greeted him and then sat down. Then Bedouins came from here and there and said, “O Messenger of Allah, can we seek treatment [for illnesses]?” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Seek treatment, for Allāh has not created a disease without creating a cure for it, except for old age.”
