CLAIMS SECTION · 28 – OATH TO PROVE A PERSON'S RIGHT
Awf ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, related:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave judgment between two men.
As the one against whom the ruling was given turned away, he said, “My Lord is sufficient for me; He is the best disposer of affairs.” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, then said to him, "Allah dislikes helplessness, but you should act wisely. When you are in a situation and feel helpless, then abandon it and take measures, and say, ‘My Lord is sufficient for me; He is the best disposer of affairs.’”
