MEDICAL SECTION · 21 – CONCERNING THE SOOTHSAYER

3904 – It is narrated from Abū Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever goes to someone who claims to give information about the unseen (soothsayer, kāhin)…” (Mūsā, one of the narrators, said: if he affirms what the soothsayer says. Then both narrators agreed on the following words) “…or goes to a woman, Musaddad said: ‘If he has intercourse with his wife while she is menstruating or from behind, he has gone outside of what Allah revealed to Muhammad.’” [507]
EXPLANATION
