LEASE SECTION · 78 – MORTGAGE

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “When a milch animal is pledged as security, its milking can be done by the one who has taken it in pledge, in return for its fodder and water. When a riding animal is pledged as security, it can be ridden by the one who has taken it in pledge, in return for its fodder, water, and service. The fodder and water of these animals belong to those who milk them and ride them.” [291]

Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “Among the servants of Allah are people who are not prophets nor martyrs, yet they will attain such ranks with Allah that envy them on the Day of Resurrection both the prophets and the martyrs.”
The Companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who are these?"
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “They are those between whom there is no kinship ties, and they do not exchange gifts, but they love one another with the love of Allah through the Qur’an.” He swore by Allah, “Their faces will be radiant, and they will be upon radiance. They will not fear when people fear, and they will not grieve when people grieve.” And he recited this verse: “(There is no fear for those who believe, nor grief for them. They receive good news with the good news of what is for them in the life of the hereafter. And Allah does not disappoint the grateful.)” [Surah Yunus, 62]
