CHAPTER · 41 – Eating Dates
Yusuf ibn Abdullah ibn Abdüsselam (may Allah be pleased with him) related:
I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) take a piece of barley bread and place a date upon it, and he said, “This date is a supplement to this bread.”
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: "A household that does not have dates in it is a starving household." [453]
