From ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar, who relates from his grandfather, Ibn ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “When any of you eats, let him eat with his right hand. And when he drinks, let him drink with his right hand. For the devil eats and drinks with the left hand.”

‘Umar ibn Abu Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “My son, approach, say Bismillah, and eat from what is before you with your right hand.”
