CHAPTER 45 – FOOD IN THE DISHES OF PEOPLE OF THE BOOK
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on an expedition, and we would seize the food and water vessels of the polytheists and utilize them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never rebuked the companions for using those vessels.
Abu Sa’leba al-Huseni, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated:
He asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, "We are neighbors to the People of the Book (Jews and Christians). They cook pork in their pots and drink wine in their cups." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, replied, “If you cannot find another vessel, wash their vessels and eat and drink from them.” [459]
