CHAPTER · 52 – PRAYER AFTER DINNER



Abū Umāmah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) would say when the food was removed from the table: “All praise is due to Allah, who has provided us with abundant blessings that are wholesome and cannot be repaid, which will never cease, and to whom we are perpetually in need.”


Abu Sa'id al-Hudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) would say after eating, “Praise be to Allah Who has fed us and given us drink, and made us Muslims.”



Abū Ayyub al-Anṣārī (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) would say, when eating or drinking, “Praise be to Allah who provides nourishment, gives sustenance, and facilitates its passage through the throat and creates an outlet for its remnants.”
