SECTION 24 – The Detestability of Disgusting Flavors
Kabisa's father, Hulb (may Allah be pleased with him), reported:
I heard someone ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) about food, saying, "There is some food that causes me discomfort (and aversion) within." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said, “Let not a movement regarding food begin within you. In this matter, you would have associated with Christian monasticism (reclusion)."
EXPLANATION:
Whatever food it may be, it is a blessing from Allah. If we do not desire it, we will not eat it. But it is warned that feeling revulsion and aversion towards it within oneself resembles the practices of Christian monks.
