SECTION 12 – DATE PALM
Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
I was afflicted by a sickness. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) came to visit me. He placed his hand between my two chests, until I felt its coolness in my heart. Then he said: “You have been afflicted with a disease of the heart. Go to Haris ibn Kalda, brother of the Sakif tribe, for he is one who practices medicine. Let him bring seven Ajwa dates from Medina, and let him grind them along with their pits, then let him put it in water and give it to me.”
According to the report from Sa’d bin Abu Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him, from his father, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever eats seven ajwa dates every morning, nothing harmful by poison or magic will affect him that day.”
