CHAPTER 7 – The Ruling on Wearing High-Quality Clothing



Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) related:
The king of Zū Yezen gifted the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) a garment which he had purchased for thirty-three camels, male or female, and the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) accepted it.


From Ishaq bin Abdullah bin Harith, may Allah be pleased with him:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gifted a garment which he had purchased for over twenty young camels to the king Zu Yezen.
EXPLANATION
This preceding honorable hadith particularly indicates that it is permissible for rulers to wear fine clothing.
