The Ruling of Seeking Knowledge Without Considering Allah's Pleasure
From Abu Hurayra, may Allah be pleased with him, it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever learns a science from among the sciences sought for the sake of pleasing Allah, but seeks to obtain something of worldly wealth through it, he will not find the fragrance of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection.”
