The Book of Knowledge · 11 – The Ruling on Reporting News About the Children of Israel
Abu Hurayrah radiallahu anhu reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Relate news from the Children of Israel; there is no objection.”
Abdullah ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would recount to us stories of the Children of Israel until morning. He would not rise from such narration until the time for the Great Prayer (either the Fajr prayer or the Tahajjud prayer) arrived.”
