Abdullah b. Abbas's Dream About Imam Hussein
Abdullah b. Abbas narrated the dream he had about Imam Husayn’s martyrdom as follows: ‘I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in a dream. He was extremely sad and distressed. In his hand, there was a copper bowl, and inside the bowl, there was collected blood. I asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah! What is this?’ He said, ‘This is the blood of Husayn and his companions. I am taking it to Allah.’ It was found that the day Ibn Abbas had the dream coincided with the day Imam Husayn was martyred in Karbala.[96] May Allah be pleased with Imam Husayn and those who were martyred in Karbala.
