Abdullah ibn Huzafa's Return to Medina

Abdullah b. Huzâfe left Kisrâ’s presence and immediately mounted his animal to take the road to Medina. He said to himself: “By Allah, I do not care which of the two roads it is for me. I have delivered Resûlullah’s letter to its intended recipient and fulfilled my duty!” After his anger subsided, Kisrâ ordered that the messenger be brought in and had him searched as far as Hîre’, but he could not be found. [171] Abdullah b. Huzâfe arrived in Medina and informed our Prophet (peace be upon him) of the situation.[172]
