Berâ’ b. Ma’rur’s Speech
Berâ’ b. Ma’rur said to Hazrat Abbas: “We have heard what you have said! By Allah, if there were anything else in our hearts other than what you have said, we would certainly have said it! But we desire to show loyalty and fidelity to the covenant, and to sacrifice our lives before Resûlullah Aleyhisselam!36 We are those who possess abundant weapons, defensive power, and protective strength! Even when we were worshipping stones, we were like this! Today; Allah has shown us things that others cannot see and Muhammed Aleyhisselam has strengthened us even more!” he said.37
