Disunity Among Enemy Tribes Besieging Medina
The enemy tribes besieging Medina fell into discord and conflict among themselves [343]. Everyone was withdrawing from each other, being cautious [344]. The Banu Ghatafan said to the Banu Sulaim, ‘By Allah, Muhammad is more beloved to us than the Jews, and we consider him more important!’ [345] Famine had surrounded them. The Quraysh were tired of sitting in the trench and had begun to feel greatly distressed. Abu Sufyan, however, was always hoping and desiring to raid Medina [346].
