Ebu Süfyan's Attempt to Turn the Ansar
The leader of the polytheists, Ebu Süfyan Sahr b. Harb, addressed the Ansar: “O people of Aus and Khazraj! Leave us to deal with our nephew’s son (leave him to us) so that we may separate from you. We have no need to fight against you!” The Ansar rejected this in a way he had not expected or liked.[251]
