Hatib's Journey to Medina
According to Hâtib; he stayed by the side of Mukavkıs for a short period, five days, and was greatly burdened. [257] Foreign delegations stayed by the side of Mukavkıs for one month and more than a month.[258] Hâtib left Mukavkıs’ country after five days. [259] Mukavkıs sent Hâtib to Cezîretü’l-Arab with guard soldiers. When they set foot in Arabia, they encountered a caravan going from Damascus to Medina. Hâtib turned back Mukavkıs’ soldiers and joined the caravan.[260] He arrived and reached Medina. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) accepted the gifts of Mukavkıs.[261]
