THE YEAR OF DELEGATIONS
Mundhir b. Sāwā’s Written Reply to the Letter of Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
After informing that he had become Muslim and affirmed the prophethood of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his reply to the letter, Mundhir b. Sāwā said as follows: “Thereafter, it is presented that: O Messenger of Allah! I have read your letter to the people of Bahrain, to the people of Hajar. Among them, those who liked Islam and wished to become Muslim have entered Islam. Some, however, did not wish to become Muslim. In my land, there are also Magians and Jews who have remained in their own religions. Please inform me as to what I should do regarding this matter!”
