The Dream of Nebbass b. Kays' Wife from the Banu Qurayza Jews and Their Fear of Consequences
During the time when Muslims were besieged by polytheists in the trench, Nebbaş b. Kays’ wife from the Banu Qurayza Jews dreamed that the trench was empty, there was no one left in it, and the Muslims had surrounded the Banu Qurayza Jews in their fortresses, strangling them like cattle at the throat; when this was told to the Jewish scholar Zebir b. Bata, he said: “Did her eyes see this while she slept?! May she never sleep again! The Quraysh will turn back and leave, Muhammad will come and besiege us! I swear by the Torah that what comes after the siege will be more severe and heavier than this!” [432] After the polytheist Quraysh withdrew, the Banu Qurayza Jews said: “Muhammad will march against us!” and they began to fear greatly.
