The Extraction from the Zervan Well and the Liberation of Our Prophet
Ali called Ammar b. Yasir. He conveyed to them what he had heard from the angels and ordered them to go to Zervan well immediately. Hz. Ali and Ammar b. Yasir went to Zervan well. The water of the well was dyed with saffron, and the tops of the date palm trees at the head of the well were like devil heads.[102] Hz. Ali and Ammar b. Yasir drew out and emptied the water of the well, and removed the step stone inside it. Under the stone was a date flower clasp.[103] The comb of our Prophet (PBUH), the hair braid from his head, a wax statue with needles inserted on it, and also a bowstring with eleven knots tied on it and needles inserted were found and taken out . [104] The knots on the bowstring could not be untied. [105] Jibril (AS) came and as he recited the verses of Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas, the knots began to loosen! Our Prophet (PBUH), with each knot loosened, first felt agony, then relief.[106] When the last knot was loosened, our Prophet (PBUH) was released, as if his hamstring had been untied and he opened up. He started eating food and drinking water.[108]
