THE ENVOYS OF OUR PROPHET (peace and blessings be upon him) INVITE RULERS TO ISLAM

The Letter Addressed by Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to Heraclius, Sealed with the Seal of “Muhammad, the Messenger of God”

The Turkish translation of the letter that our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had written to Heraclius and sealed with the seal of “Muhammad, the Messenger of God” is as follows: “Bismillāhirraḥmānirraḥīm (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful). From Muhammad, the servant and messenger of Allah, to Heraclius, the great one of the Byzantines. Peace be upon those who follow hudā (guidance)! To proceed: I invite you with the call of Islam, I invite you to become Muslim. Become Muslim and you will find safety, and Allah will grant you your reward twice over! But if you turn away from this invitation, then the sin of the poor peasants, all your subjects, will be upon you.[103] ‘Say: O People of the Book! Come to a word that is equitable between us and you: that we shall not worship any but Allah, and that we shall not associate anything with Him, and that we shall not take one another as lords besides Allah. But if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are Muslims.’[104]”
