The Prophet's Arrival and Stay in Jirane
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) arrived in Ci’raneh with the Muslims and stayed there. [477] Our Prophet (Peace be upon him), having spent five nights in Zilkade, arrived on Thursday night and stayed in Ci’raneh for thirteen nights.[478] Ci’raneh is a water source between Mecca and Taif. It is closer to Mecca than Taif. In Ci’raneh, there are wells close to each other. The distance from Ci’raneh to Mecca via the Iraq road is one bürüd, i.e., 12 miles. Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) and the mujahideen entered ihram for umrah while coming to Mecca from Ci’raneh.[479]
