The Prophet's Conversation with Abu Haritha and His Brother on the Way to Medina
Ebu Harise, riding a female donkey, was approaching our Prophet (PBUH) with his brother Küz or Kürz by his side. The donkey’s legs gave way and it fell to the ground. Kürz said: “May your face be covered in dust, may you perish!” as he spoke to our Prophet (PBUH), Ebu Harise responded: “No, you fall, you perish!” Kürz asked: “O brother! Why did you say this to me?!” Ebu Harise replied: “By Allah, he is the prophet we have been waiting for!” Kürz asked: “Well, if you know this, what is preventing you from submitting to him?” Ebu Harise said: “If I do as you say, these people will not serve us, honor and respect us! They will turn their backs on us, do the opposite! They will take back everything we have!” This statement by Ebu Harise had a great impact on his brother Kürz b. Alkame’. He became Muslim afterwards.[21] May Allah be pleased with him![22]
