THE BATTLE OF MUʾTA
The Supplication of Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for These Martyrs
After informing that Zayd ibn Ḥāritha, Jaʿfar ibn Abī Ṭālib, and ʿAbdullāh ibn Rawāḥa had been martyred, the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated as follows: “O Allah! Forgive Zayd! O Allah! Forgive Zayd! O Allah! Forgive Zayd! O Allah! Forgive Jaʿfar and ʿAbdullāh ibn Rawāḥa as well!” [164]
