The Virtues of the Minbar

The day the minbar was constructed and put in place, our Prophet (PBUH) ascended to the top of it and standing said: “The space between my house and this minbar is a garden from the gardens of Paradise![213] This minbar of mine is located above one of the gates of my pool[214] and one of the gates of Paradise!” He declared. [215] He made it sunnah to take oaths regarding the rights of slaves next to the minbar. [216] “Whoever falsely swears by this minbar of mine to expropriate the property of a Muslim, may the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people be upon him! Allah will accept neither his repentance nor his ransom!” He declared. [217]
