ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Awfā Alqama b. Khālid b. Ḥāris al-Huzāʿī al-Aslamī. He was a Companion (ṣaḥāba) of great stature. He was the last of the Companions residing in Kufa to pass away. According to al-Bukhārī, he died in either the eighty-eighth or eighty-ninth year of the Hijra. According to al-Wāqidī and the statements of several other transmitters, he died in the eighty-sixth year of the Hijra, having surpassed the age of 100. It is also said that he was close to 100 years old at the time of his death. May Allah be pleased with him.
