He is the father of the jurist (faqīh) Ishaq. On the night of his brother's death, his mother Umm Sulaym became pregnant with him. The next morning, his father Abu Talha went and informed the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him), who said to him: "May Allah grant you blessing in your union tonight."
When Abdullah was born, the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) rubbed a date on his mouth with his hand.
Abdullah b. Kaʿb b. Malik
When Kaʿb passed away, he (Abdullah) led his camel. He has transmitted hadith reports. He died in Medina in the eighty-second year of the Hijra.
Affan b. Wahb
Affan b. Wahb Abu Ayman al-Hawlānī al-Miṣrī. He is among the Companions (ṣaḥāba) who transmitted hadith. He went on military expeditions to the Maghrib, settled in Egypt, and died there.
