Ahmed b. Ali b. Muhammed al-Wakil. He is known by the name Ibn Burhān. His kunyah is Abū'l-Fath. He is a Shāfiʿī faqīh (jurist). He took fiqh lessons from al-Ghazzālī, Kayyā al-Harāsī, and al-Shāshī. He was also a great scholar in uṣūl al-fiqh (principles of Islamic jurisprudence). He has a work entitled az-Zāhira fī Uṣūl al-Fiqh. He was well-versed in many sciences. He taught for less than a month as a mudarris (professor) at the Nizāmiyya madrasa in Baghdad.
Behram B. Behram
His kunyah is Abū Shujāʿ al-Bay. He listened to ḥadīth. He built a madrasa in Kelwāzī for the companions of Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal. He endowed part of his property for the faqīhs in that madrasa.
Said B. Seyyar
Said b. Seyyar b. Muhammed b. ʿAbdullah b. Ibrāhīm Abū'l-ʿAlāʾ al-Ishāqī al-Khārevī is a ḥadīth ḥāfiẓ (memorizer of ḥadīth). He is among the narrators whose transmission is sound. He listened to ḥadīth. He died in Aturaj, a village in Babīharāt.
