Ahmed b. Muhammed b. Ahmed b. Abdullah Abū'l-Ḥasan Ibn Nā-kur al-Bezzāz. He is among the musnad (hadith with chain of transmission) holders who lived a long life. He transmitted many hadith manuscripts from al-Baghawī through the Ibn Ḥayyān path and thus from his teachers. For example, he alone transmitted the manuscripts of al-Hadba, Kāmil b. Ṭalḥa, ʿAmr b. Zurarah, and Abū Sakan al-Bakrī. He was like an ocean who narrated many hadiths. Ṭālūt used to take one dinar from ʿUbāda for each hadith he recited from him. Since he abandoned his work and business to engage in hadith, Shaykh Abū Isḥāq al-Shīrāzī issued a fatwa permitting him to receive payment for reciting hadith. Ahmed b. Muhammed passed away at the age of eighty-nine in this year.
