Ahmed b. Muhammed b. Ahmed b. Yakub b. Ahmed Abu Bakr al-Yarbuʿī was a qurrāʾ (Qur'an reciter). He was the last person to narrate hadith from Abū'l-Husayn b. Samʿūn. He was reliable in narration, an ʿābid (devout worshipper), and a person of good conduct. al-Ḥāṭib al-Baġdādī listened to and wrote down hadith from him and said, "He was a truthful person." Ahmed b. Muhammed died at the age of eighty-seven in this year.
