Ahmed b. Muhammed b. Ebi Musa Ebu Bekir al-Hashimī. He was a Maliki jurist.
He served as a qāḍī (judge) in al-Madāʾin and other cities. He was a khāṭīb (preacher) at the Mansur Mosque. He heard many ḥadīths. A large congregation narrated from him. Dāraquṭnī also transmitted from him; he was a chaste, upright, ṣīqa (trustworthy), and pious person. He passed away at the age of seventy-five in the month of Muḥarram of this year.
