Behlūl b. Isḥāq b. Behlūl b. Ḥassan b. Sīnān Abū Muḥammad al-Tanūhī. He heard and studied ḥadīth from Ismāʿīl b. Abī ʿUways, Saʿīd b. Manṣūr, Musʿab al-Zubayrī, and others. A group, including Ḥāfiẓ Abū Bakr al-Ismāʿīlī al-Jurjānī among the last, transmitted narrations from him. He was a trustworthy (sīqa) ḥadīth narrator with a solid record (zabt), and a ḥadīth memorizer who spoke with eloquence and fluency in his orations. He passed away at the age of ninety-five in this year.
