Bushrī al-Fāṭinī

Bushrī b. Mīsīs. He was among the Rūm prisoners. The chiefs of Banī Ḥamdān had gifted him to Fāṭin, the slave of Muṭī. Fāṭin then trained and disciplined him. Bushrī heard ḥadīth from many masters. Ḥāṭib al-Baġdādī also transmitted narrations from him and said about him: “Bushrī was a truthful, trustworthy, pious, and devout person.” Bushrī passed away on the day of the ʿĪd al-Fiṭr of this year. May Allah have mercy on him.
