He worked together with Izz al-Dīn Najāḥ al-Sarāy. He became the owner of a large amount of property. With every sum of money he earned, he would purchase an estate and register this estate in the name of a trusted friend. When he was dying, he bequeathed to his trusted friend the care of his children, to attend to their affairs, and to use the inheritance he left behind to cover their necessary expenses and maintenance. However, the trustee also fell ill shortly thereafter. To inform that the property and estate in his possession belonged to Abū'l-Ghanāʾim's heirs, he summoned witnesses before him. Yet, his heirs disputed with him in the presence of the witnesses. They claimed that this was false. Because of his anger, he died as a result of a heart stroke. The heirs seized that property and estate. They gave nothing to Abū'l-Ghanāʾim's children.
